The 31st Annual Wyoming Men's State Bowling Tournament was held at Cloud Peak Lanes in Sheridan, Wyoming.
The tournament ran from March 10th through May 6th, 1979. The tournament directors were J. D. Myres and Frank Shaffer Sr. The Scratch Singles was won by Cary Hamstreet from Sheridan with a 739. The Scratch Doubles winners was a tie between Ivan Weitz and Harold Delozier from Cheyenne and Gilbert Delozier and Harold Delozier from Lander with a 1277. The Scratch Team was won by Central Bank & Trust from Lander with a 3001. The Scratch All Events was won by John Marvel from Casper with a 1947. The Handicap Singles was won by Cary Hamstreet from Sheridan with a 790. The Handicap Doubles was won by Duane Larson and Steve Johnson from Gillette with a 1358. The Handicap Team was won by Hoomes Carpets from Cheyenne with a 3153. The Handicap All Events was won by James Taylor from Jackson with a 2005. |
